Father, Your word is faithful even when I am not. The gospel is faithful, whether or not this morning feels faithful. Your love is faithful, whether or not the love I show my family today is steady. Christ is faithful, whether or not I feel steady at noon, or when the baby cries again, or when I forget what I just said. Your truth does not need my feelings to hold it up. Let Your steady words hold the day's mood, not the other way around. The mood will move. Your word will not. Amen.
