Lord Jesus, there were many who walked away from You. Peter said he had nowhere else to go because You alone have the words that give life forever. I want to say the same thing right now. Not because I feel close to You today. I am too tired for that. But because everywhere else leads to something smaller. Something less. I am staying. Not with a big, strong feeling. Just in a quiet, settled way. Your words are still alive in me, even at three a.m. Even in the dark. Even when I am running on nothing, I am not going anywhere. Amen.
