New Mothers Prayer for October 19th
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Paul told the Corinthians they were still babes in Christ. That word does not feel like a put-down. It feels like the truth about me right now.
This season I drink milk. I need to be held. I am not running far. I used to think that meant I had lost ground. But maybe it just means You are feeding me what I need today.
The basics are not failure. They are the simpler food. So feed me, Father. Hold me close. The running can come later.
Amen.
