New Mothers Prayer for October 13th

A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Your Word says that godly sorrow leads to real change. I have been stuck in a loop all morning, replaying yesterday in my head. The sharp words I snapped at my husband. The way I lost my patience over nothing. The hours I gave to my phone when my baby needed my eyes. Loop sorrow just plays the failure again and again, like watching it one more time will fix it. But godly sorrow turns once and walks toward You. Let mine turn. Forgive me, plainly. Give me back this day clean. Send me into the next hour without dragging yesterday's chain behind me. That chain was not given to me to carry. Your forgiveness was. And even in this mess, thank You. Thank You that I get to be her mother. Thank You that Your mercy is here at this chair, at this hour, in this tired body. Amen.
