New Mothers Prayer for October 7th
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, in the Bible, Moses asked You plainly why things were so hard. I want to ask You that too, without pretending I am fine. Why has this season been so hard? Why has the help come slowly? Why has my body been slow to heal? Why have the friends I counted on been quieter than I thought? I do not get an answer to most of those questions. But I get to ask them and stay near You anyway. Asking is not wrong. Staying is the faith. Let me ask the question and not need a reply by lunch. Let me keep walking, with the question still in my pocket, into the next ordinary task. Amen.
