New Mothers Prayer for September 26th
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, You meet us in the low places. In Your word, Zechariah saw a man among the myrtle trees down in the valley. The trees were small. The valley was low. And You were there. I have looked for You on the mountain — in big services, in retreats, in high and holy moments. But You are also here on the bathroom floor at three in the morning. You are in the quiet kitchen at six. You walk the hallway when no one else is awake. Help me notice You in my low places. Tend the valley of my life today. Amen.
