New Mothers Prayer for September 15th
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, my phone is face down on the changing table where the dread lives. Psalm 112 says You promised I would not fear bad news. The fear is real this season. The way I brace before opening medical results. The way I scan the news for everything that could come to my baby. The promise is not that bad news will not come. It is that it will not crush me when it does, because my heart is fixed on You. Fix my heart, not into a wall against feeling, but into a foundation under it. Whatever the news is, You are still good. Let that truth hold the scared place inside me. Amen.
