Father, the calendar on the fridge has too many question marks on it. You promised to guide me with Your counsel and take me home to glory someday. But that someday is far away today. You are here now. I keep wanting a map for the whole year — when the baby will sleep through the night, when I will go back to work, when I will feel like myself again. You do not hand me the map. You hand me the next step. Let me take it without asking for more. Guide me into the next thing in front of me. It is not the whole year. It is just this morning. The glory is settled. And this morning is in Your hands too. Amen.
