A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, You are the one who stands. You are the one who feeds. I am the one being fed. I have been trying to be the strong one in this house. But I am not the one who keeps the whole strength up. You are. Even now, with breakfast half-made and the baby fussing in the carrier, You are the one feeding me. Let me take in the small mercy of this morning. The strong Shepherd is here. Amen.
