Father, I have my own version of fleeing to do today. The phone in one hand while the baby naps. The third coffee that will not really wake me up, but makes me feel like I am doing something. The same old hurt I keep turning over in my mind. Like Joseph, I need to drop what I am holding and walk away. Help me do it, not with shame, but with practice. I do not need to be brave. I just need to put the phone face down and look out the window for one minute. Teach me that small flights can be holy. Amen.
