New Mothers Prayer for July 23rd
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, there is someone close to me who has not been close to me. A relative who has not asked how I am. A friend whose silence has grown loud. I have been replaying the hurt while warming bottles in the quiet. Keep me from becoming cold in return. I do not have to feel warm toward this person today. But help me refuse to be cold. Help me want their good, plainly and honestly, without faking feelings I do not have. That is enough kindness for today. Amen.

- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
