Father, Your Spirit is a down payment on everything You have promised—a first proof of what is still to come.
Today, the heaviness sits on my chest like the weight of my baby asleep here. It is real. But it is not the end of the story.
You have already given proof. The peace that found me in the dark hallway last week. The verse that came to me at three in the morning when I needed it most. Those moments were not nothing. They were Your down payment.
Help me not to overlook the small gifts just because the full promise has not yet arrived. You are faithful. Everything You have said is still coming.
Amen.
