New Mothers Prayer for July 19th
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Your glory has felt scarce this week. The week has been small. But Your glory is not only at burning bushes. Show me the small piece of it right in front of me — the way the light hits the wall behind the rocking chair, the way my baby's hand fits around my finger, the way the toast still tastes like toast. Each of those is on purpose. Let me see them as the small handfuls of glory You are giving me, and not save my wonder for grander things that may never come this season. Amen.
