Father, I see the cup of cold tea on the counter first. That is where I am this morning. Your Word says Your people are loved and chosen. I want to know that for myself, but I keep checking my own heart, and the check never goes well at this hour. Turn my eyes the other way. Not, am I holding on well — but, is Christ holding on? He is. He has not put me down once since this season began. That is the only assurance I will keep today. Let it be enough to step into the kitchen with. Amen.
