New Mothers Prayer for July 6th
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Your Word says that those who listen to You will live in peace and be free from fear. I cannot promise to listen well today. I am listening for the baby, for the dryer buzzer, for footsteps in the hall. But under all that noise, keep one ear of mine turned toward You. Quiet the fear that runs without reason. Not every silence in the monitor is a crisis. Not every hard hour is the start of a bad day. Give me the peace of a woman who knows her child is held, and who knows she is held herself. I lift my small worries to You now, one at a time, so I do not carry them all at once. Amen.
