New Mothers Prayer for July 5th
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, You called me, and I want to receive that word today without flinching. I am not a saint in the way I picture saints. I am a tired woman with a stained shirt and a long mental list. But You called me. Quietly, without fanfare. Quietly enough that I forget it most days. Free me from the comparison that runs in the background. The other mother who looks rested. The friend without children. The version of myself I thought I would be by now. I am called. That is the only resume that matters this morning. Let me work this day as someone You have already named. Amen.

- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
