New Mothers Prayer for June 30th

A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father,

Jesus prayed that He would share His glory with His own. He holds nothing back.

That is hard to sit with. I am holding a sleeping baby in a tired house at the end of half a year, and Christ is giving me His glory.

Not just someday. It has already begun. His Spirit lives in me. I am Your daughter. You have promised me resurrection life.

The smaller version of me sees none of this. She sees milk on her shirt and dust on the windowsill. But the truer version of me knows what she is being given.

Let me rest in that truth as the first half of this year ends. The work is small. The gift is enormous. Both are real.

Amen.
