New Mothers Prayer for June 29th
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Your Word says that those who have died in Jesus are not lost. They sleep, and You will bring them to Yourself.
I think about my grandmother tonight. She prayed for me before I ever knew her face. She is resting in You now.
The mothers and grandmothers who came before me prayed many of the same prayers I am praying. They were tired in their own kitchens. They are at rest now. But their prayers are still going.
Let me feel less alone in this season. I am not the first to do this work. So many have gone before me. And one day I will be with them in Your presence.
Until then, let me carry what they carried. Faithfully. Quietly. Knowing they are with You, and that You are with me.
Amen.
