New Mothers Prayer for June 21st
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Your Word says that Jesus is more beautiful than anyone. I believe that, but I do not always look at Him.
This week, I have looked at so many faces. My baby's face. My own face in the mirror. Faces on the screen.
But the most beautiful face is one I forget to look at. Your face, Jesus. The patience in Your eyes. The kindness in Your words. The way You pay attention to me.
Help me look at You today. Not as a trick to feel better. Just as a small habit. Let me pause between feedings and turn my mind toward You. Not a picture on a wall. The real You, alive, near, listening.
The more I look at You, the more everything else falls into place.
Amen.
