New Mothers Prayer for June 18th
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, You are my Redeemer. The One who pays the price to bring back what was lost.
I have lost some things this year. Not all at once. Just slowly. The way I used to laugh quickly. The way I used to say yes without thinking. The friends I used to call for no reason. The version of me that had room for everything.
But even in the loss, there is joy I did not expect. A small hand wrapped around my finger. A quiet moment at 3 a.m. that belongs only to us.
These things are not gone forever. You redeem. You bring back, often deeper than before. The me that comes through this season will not be the same. I may be slower in some ways, but I hope to be truer in the ways that matter.
Redeem what I have lost. Not to the old shape. To Your shape. I trust You with what I am becoming.
Amen.
