New Mothers Prayer for June 10th

A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Your Word says we live unto the Lord. Not to ourselves. Not to what people think. To You.

That changes my whole day. The work I do is not ultimately about perfect results or abouthow things look. It is for You.

That makes the small things matter in a freeing way. The diaper changed at three in the morning is unto the Lord. The patience I find for the people I love is unto the Lord. The quiet moment with Your Word between feedings is unto the Lord.

Some days I am full of joy. Some days I am just tired. Both are held by You.

I am not performing for a crowd. I am living for an audience of One who already loves me.

Turn my heart from many eyes to Your eyes today. Let everything I do be unto You.

Amen.
