New Mothers Prayer for June 7th

A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Your Word says that if I love You, I should hate what is wrong. Loving You changes what I am willing to let slide.

I have been letting small things stay. The slow scroll through other people's lives that makes me feel less thankful. The talks that turn into gossip when I am too tired to stop them. The quiet ways I choose comfort over what is right.

Soften my heart toward these things. Not in a rush. Just a steady turning away from them.

I do not hate the people around me. I hate the habits that pull me away from You and from the love that should fill this home.

Make me notice small wrongs. Help me turn from them. Not so I can seem better. Just so I can be clean.

Amen.
