New Mothers Prayer for May 23rd

A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, You promised in Psalm 138 that You will finish what concerns me. You do not quit on the things You start.

I have left so many things unfinished this season. Books half-read. Texts unanswered. Projects shelved. The fitness routine I gave up on. The Bible study I joined before she was born, and never went back to.

You are finishing me. You will not walk away from what You started. The rough places will be made smooth. The empty places will be filled. The sentences I left hanging will be completed.

I do not have to do all the perfecting. That is Your work and Your timing.

Let me rest in being a project under Your hand. I do not need to be done today. I just need to stay close to You. That is enough for now.

Amen.
