New Mothers Prayer for May 22nd
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Psalm 107 says, "He led them forth by the right way." Not the shortest way. The right way.
I have wanted the shortest way through this season. Sleep training faster. Body healing faster. Just one full night. One quiet hour.
You are leading me in the right way. The right way takes longer. The right way passes through nights I would have skipped. The right way builds what shortcuts cannot.
I trust the route even when I cannot see why we are turning here. Even when it feels like a detour.
You led Your people through the hard way before. You led them out. You led them to solid ground. Lead me at Your pace. I follow.
Amen.
