New Mothers Prayer for May 21st
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Your Word says that those who have tasted know You are kind. Tasted. Not just heard about. Tasted.
I have tasted Your grace in this season in small ways. The friend who showed up with a meal before I even asked. The morning the baby slept three whole hours. The quiet feeling in the rocking chair last week that I am not alone. The tiny hand wrapped around my finger like a promise.
These small things tell me who You are.
Today I want to taste again. Not by asking for a big sign. Just by noticing what is already here. Grace was on the kitchen counter all along. I just had not picked it up.
Help me pick it up today. Thank You for every taste You have already given.
Amen.
