New Mothers Prayer for May 11th
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Jesus said in Matthew 28, "I am with You always." Not just on the spiritual days. Always.
I have a habit of acting like You are with me on Sunday mornings, during prayer times, and at communion. Then drifting through Tuesday as if You are off duty.
You are not off duty. Tuesday is just as much under Your eye. The four o'clock witching hour with the crying baby is just as much in Your presence as the quiet morning.
Thank You that even in the hard hours, You are here. Let me move through this day with that truth under everything. Not as a duty. As a quiet awareness. He is here. He has been here all morning. He will be here at the four o'clock witching hour.
I am not alone. Always.
Amen.
