New Mothers Prayer for May 8th

A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, in the Gospels, some people were healed by Jesus and did not even know His name. I think of them today.

So many things in this season have been quietly fixed. The fever that went away. The day that ended better than it started. The peace that came into the kitchen after a hard morning.

These are You. Not luck. Not chance. You.

Open my eyes to the healings I have not been crediting. Let me look back at this week and see the moments You moved without applause.

Receive my late thanks for the help I almost missed. Stay near today.

Amen.

How to pray it

  1. Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.

Verses to pray
