New Mothers Prayer for April 22nd

A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, You have lifted Jesus high above everything. After the cross came the rising. After the rising came the throne. He is not just alive — He is ruling over all.

That changes how I sit here in this rocking chair. I am not bringing my worries to someone far off or half listening. You are the One with all power, holding the whole world together — and holding me, too.

I do not have to make my prayers big enough to reach You. You are already paying attention to a tired mom in a quiet room.

I bring You my baby's cough, my partner's stress, my own quiet fear. The same hand that holds every star will not drop a single one of these.

Amen.

  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
