New Mothers Prayer for April 19th

A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, when Jesus died, the temple veil was torn from top to bottom. You tore it. Not us. The way to You was opened from Your side.

I keep acting like I have to open it myself. Like I need the right words, the right heart, the right quiet before I can come in.

But You already tore the way open. I do not need to earn my way through.

So I come as I am. Milk on my sleeve. Not enough sleep. A baby in the other room. This tired is hard, and it is also holy.

There is no curtain anymore. There is just You, and my coming in.

Receive me.

Amen.
