Father, Psalm 22 says my heart is like wax, melting away inside me. A heart that has lost its shape under heat.
I have felt that this week. Not a big disaster. Just soft. Just weepy. More easily moved than I expected.
A video of a stranger's reunion made me cry.The thought of my baby growing too fast made me cry.A song on the radio made me cry.
I used to think these tears were weakness.Now I wonder if they are part of a softening You are doing.A heart that grew hard over the yearsis being warmed back into feeling.
Let me not be ashamed of the tears.Receive them.Reshape me through them.
Amen.
