New Mothers Prayer for April 3rd
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, in John 19, they took Jesus and led Him away. He was led. He did not resist. He let the day go where it was going.
I fight the day so much. I argue with the schedule. I try to plan my baby's naps like she will follow my list.
Let me let this day be led, the way Christ let His be led. Not giving up. Trusting. I will move through what comes without pretending I am in charge.
He let Himself be taken because He trusted You. I can let myself be carried by a day I cannot predict, because I trust You too.
Lead this day. Lead me through it. I follow.
Amen.
