New Mothers Prayer for March 29th

A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Your Word says that even Jesus learned obedience through suffering. He went through hard things, too.

So I should not be surprised that I am learning through this stretch. I did not have this patience before. The willingness to be stopped again and again is being shaped in me by being stopped again and again.

I would have picked a different classroom. But this is the one I am in: the chair, the baby, the long night.

Help me stop fighting the lesson and start receiving it. Jesus learned this way too. I am in good company in the obedience that comes through small suffering.

Amen.
