New Mothers Prayer for March 18th

A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Your Word says I am Your child because I trust in Jesus. Not because I am put together. Not because I look impressive. Just because I belong to You.

This baby will grow up watching me try to live as Your child. I cannot be a perfect example. I will only confuse her if I pretend.

Let her see me come back to You when I fall. Let her hear me say I am sorry when I am short with her. Let her watch me trust You in the loud, hard moments and in the quiet, tired ones.

That is what she needs to see. Not a perfect mother. A mother who is Your child first. The honest version is the one You can use.

Help me be honestly Yours where she can see.

Amen.

  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
