New Mothers Prayer for March 12th

A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, You told us to love the people closest to us. Right now, that starts with this baby in my arms. Then my partner. My mother on the phone. The woman across the hall.

Love is not always a feeling I can find. Not at three in the morning. Not after a hard talk.

So help me do the loving thing even when I do not feel it. Help me soften my voice when my heart still feels tight. Help me make the tea I do not want to make. Help me text the friend I have been putting off.

Thank You for this small life in my arms. Even on the hard nights, that is a gift.

The feeling may come later. It may not come at all. But doing the next right thing is how I follow You. Let me obey first, and trust You for the rest.

Amen.
