New Mothers Prayer for March 10th

A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Psalm 30 says, "In my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved." David thought a good season meant he would never be shaken.

I have done the same in small ways. After a good week of sleep, I thought I had it all figured out. After a few patient days, I thought the hard part was over. Then the night turned hard again.

Do not let me put my trust in the good season instead of in You. Good weeks come and go. So do hard ones. You do not.

When a good day comes, help me receive it without taking the credit. When a hard night comes, help me not fall apart. You are the same God in both. You stay when nothing else does.

Amen.
