New Mothers Prayer for March 4th

A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, You told Paul, "My grace is enough for You." Not extra. Not saved up. Just enough for what is in front of me right now.

I keep wanting more than enough. I want to wake up tomorrow with patience I can feel. I want strength that does not run out before noon.

You are giving me enough. The bottle is poured. It is enough for this feeding.

Let me stop measuring Your grace by how ready I feel for the whole day. Today's grace is for today. Tomorrow, You will meet me again.

I will trust You the way I trust this chair to hold me in the dim light. One hour at a time.

Hour by hour. Enough.

Amen.
