New Mothers Prayer for March 3rd
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, You said You chose me in the hard place. That is a hard truth for a quiet morning. But the comfort is real.
This season of motherhood has been a small furnace. Not the worst thing people go through. Just enough to show me what is real and what is not. The quiet anger I did not know I carried. The way I have judged myself by how much I get done in a day.
You did not look away from any of it. You chose me here, with all of it showing.
Burn off what is not me. Keep what is. I will trust that this heat is doing something I cannot do on my own. When I come through, let me be lighter and truer, not bitter.
Amen.
