New Mothers Prayer for February 29th

A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, You said You draw us with kindness. Not push. Not drive. Draw. The way I draw my baby close with a soft voice.

I have pictured You as the strict parent my anxiety made up. The one waiting to point out where I fell short today. The one needing me to make up for the prayer time I missed.

But that is not how You work. You draw. With kindness that does not depend on how fast I answer. With patience that started long before I paid attention.

Let me trust the kind voice today—the one calling me back, gently, without a lecture about the distance.

I come. Receive me the way You always have with kindness.

Amen.
