New Mothers Prayer for February 25th
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Your Word warns of wrath to come. I do not love that verse on a tired morning. But it shows me the cross more clearly.
Christ took the wrath I earned. He stood between me and what I deserved. He absorbed it all.
Now I get to sit with my baby on my chest and pray with no fear. Not because I earned this peace. Because He paid for it.
On hard days, when I am short with the ones I love, when my prayers feel faint, bring me back to this. The wrath is already spent. There is none left for me.
I rest in that mercy this morning.
Amen.
