New Mothers Prayer for February 18th
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, some weeks feel heavier than they should. The baby is fine. I am fine. And yet the hours feel too long. Why this stretch, why now?
I will not pretend I am always okay. You see the real me. I do not have to perform contentment for You.
Hold me in the unanswered place. Steady my hands when they shake for no clear reason. Carry me through the not-knowing.
Amen.
