New Mothers Prayer for February 16th

A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Your word says that Paul learned to be content in every season. He did not wake up with it. He learned it, little by little, through Your help.

I am in a season where contentment does not come easy. I look at other lives and feel a small sting. I look at myself in the mirror and let out a sigh I did not plan.

So teach me. I am not asking to feel content all at once. I am asking to begin learning, lesson by lesson, hour by hour, with this baby in my arms.

When comparison starts to creep in, turn my heart back to what is right here. The warmth of this cup. The light on her cheek. The breath in my own chest. These are enough. They have always been enough.

Amen.
