New Mothers Prayer for February 7th
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, I do not want to get up. I want to stay in this chair, half-asleep, with the baby on my chest.
You are not asking me to be happy about it. You are reminding me that this tired season is not the end of my story.
You promised rest for the weary. Not just sleep. A real rest that goes deep. A quieter day is coming for this house.
Until then, give me grace to rise when she needs me. Help me trust that getting up, even when I am tired, is enough.
Amen.
