New Mothers Prayer for February 3rd

A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Romans 8 says we owe everything to Your grace, not to the flesh.

I have been trying to earn my place as if my baby's wellbeing depended on my efficiency. As if my marriage depended on my last good day. As if my standing with You depended on my last good prayer.

That kind of scorekeeping never adds up.

You set me on Your grace. I owe my morning, my milk supply, my marriage, my mothering, all to that. None of it comes from my own strength.

Let me live like someone who owes You everything and is fully forgiven in Christ. Lighter, freer, less anxious.

Amen.

  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
