New Mothers Prayer for January 26th

A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Jesus told tired people to look at the birds. He said they do, but they don't know what tomorrow holds. They do not earn the seed. They are fed and not forgotten.

I look out the window now. The birds at the feeder are so small and so cared for. I am that small today. I cannot plan past lunch. I do not know if she will nap. I do not know how I will get through dinner with any energy left in my voice.

But even in this tiredness, there is joy I did not expect. Help me hold both. Feed me what I need for this hour. I am not promised tomorrow's strength yet. I am promised this hour. So I will trust You with this day, and I will trust You with the rest.

Amen.
