New Mothers Prayer for January 21st
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, You promised to bring Your people through. Tonight I am thinking about my small people. My partner, my baby, the family I came from.
I cannot save anyone. I cannot even keep my baby from crying right now. I will not pretend my prayers are stronger than they are.
But Your promise is strong. You do not stop the work in my family just because I am too tired to help well.
I lift up the ones I love. I leave them in Your hands. Then I turn back to the small task in front of me.
Amen.
