Father, Psalm 130 says I wait for You. My whole self waits. I put my hope in Your word. Advent is the season when we wait on purpose for Jesus to come. Not the bored kind of waiting. The hopeful kind. Train me to wait like that today. Eyes up. Help me wait with hope instead of worry. The kind of waiting that has a smile underneath, even when no one can see it. I want that steady kind of waiting. Amen.
