Kids Prayer for December 8th

A short, Scripture-shaped kids prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Lord, You told the good news to shepherds first. They were just working at night, and watching their sheep. They were regular people. That tells me a lot about You. You like regular people. You like kids in pajamas. You come to where we are. Working people, ordinary people, kids — those are the people You love. Amen.

  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.

Verses to pray
