Kids Prayer for November 1st

A short, Scripture-shaped kids prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, November starts today. The leaves are mostly off the trees. Things look bare. You said there is a season for everything. Even the bare season has a purpose. Help me be okay when my life feels bare, too. You are still working where I cannot see, like roots under the dirt. A tree that looks dead in November is just waiting for spring. Help me wait with that kind of patience. Amen.

How to pray it

  1. Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
