Kids Prayer for October 27th

A short, Scripture-shaped kids prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Lord, the writer of Psalm 42 talked to his own sad heart. He said, "Hope in God." You say that it is okay for me to do so, too. So today my heart is heavy. I will talk to it like a friend. I will say, "Hope in God. He is still good." My heart listens to my voice. So let me give it something true to hear. You are my hope. Amen.

  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
