Kids Prayer for September 20th

A short, Scripture-shaped kids prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Lord, You once won a battle with just three hundred men. They were small. The other army was huge. But You were with them, and that was enough. I feel small, too. The things in front of me feel huge. But You plus me is the right army. Help me remember that today. Help me trust that You are with me, even when I feel alone. You do not need big numbers to win. You just need me to stay with You. Amen.

How to pray it

  1. Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
